Afternoon all.
I realise you're all probably, like me, flat out preparing for the
Christmas/New Year break right now, so I'll try to keep this month's
message short.
The main event for the month was the OSIA AGM, held in Sydney at the end
of day 1 of OSDC. Thankyou to all those who attended, and a big thanks
to the good folks at OSDC for providing the venue (and a great
conference too).
The new Board was appointed at the AGM, looking very much like the old
one but with two notable changes:
Firstly, Steve Dalton has retired from the Board. Steve has served on
the OSIA Board for three years, and we're all sorry to see him go. Steve
was responsible for the Special Projects portfolio this year, and PR the
previous year. In addition to the work in his assigned portfolios, much
of the substantial increase in OSIA activity in Soutb-East Queensland
over the last two years has been of Steve's doing.
Please join me in thanking Steve for his valued contribution to OSIA.
Secondly, we welcome David Bullock (of Loftus IT), who joins the Board
for the coming year.
I look forward to seeing many of you at LCA2013 in Canberra.
In the meantime, on behalf of the OSIA Board, I'd like to close by
wishing you all a very merry Christmas, and a happy & prosperous 2013.
Regards,
