[Osia-members] OSIA September update

Afternoon, all. Just a quick update for you this month:

** OSDC 2015 **

I'm pleased to announce that OSIA will be sponsoring the lanyards &
badges at this year's OSDC, to be held in Hobart on 27-29 October. The
OSIA board regards OSDC as the premier PD event for our industry sector
in Australia. We are delighted to have the opportunity to show our
support for it and urge those members who are in a position to do so to
do likewise.

Registration for OSDC2015 opened last week. Members and their staff are
encouraged to register here at https://2015.osdc.com.au/register/

It's shaping up to be a great conference again this year -- see
schedule at https://2015.osdc.com.au/schedule/ -- and of course will be
followed immediately by the OSIA AGM on the final day. I look forward
to seeing many of you there.

** Sydney event cancelled **

The OSIA event that was planned to be held in Sydney tomorrow evening
has been cancelled. Please accept our apologies for the short notice.
As registrations had not yet opened, we're hoping this will not
inconvenience anyone.

** Call for nominations closing in two weeks **

A quick reminder that the call for nominations for the 2015/16 OSIA
board closes on 30 September. Any financial member with the available
time and capability to commit to serving on the board is encouraged to
nominate. This is your opportunity to shape the future your industry
body directly.

For nomination forms, see OSIA Secretary Steven Sackett's post to this
list of 14 August. As the list archives are temporarily out of order,
any prospective candidate who is missing the nomination form should
contact Steven Sackett <secretary at osia.com.au> for another copy.

** Board meetings **

The board has not met since the last update, but will be meeting again
on 23 September (by teleconference).

As always, members are encouraged to bring any pertinent matters (and
indeed your views on them) to the attention of the Board, either on
