Afternoon all.
A few matters of note this month:
Strategic plan RFC
------------------
Thankyou to those members who have commented on the strategic plan to
date. For anyone who hasn't had a chance to take a look yet, a summary
draft is available here:
http://www.osia.com.au/drupal7/sites/default/files/osia_draft_strategic_plan.pdf
The request for comment period until 1 May, so if you haven't had a
chance to have your say yet, please do so within the next two weeks
(either here on the list, or by email to me).
Advance notice: Adelaide event
------------------------------
The next OSIA domestic market event [Strategy 1.5] will be held in
Adelaide on the evening of Thursday 16 May.
Further details available soon.
Advance notice: OSIA survey
---------------------------
The inaugural OSIA member survey [Supporting Strategy 2] will be
launched later this month.
OSIA Director Daniel Jitnah will post an announcement to the list when
it's ready to go live.
Progress on Trans-Pacific Partnership
-------------------------------------
The OSIA TPP Committee met on 3 April and will meet again this Friday.
Progress has been made towards drafting an OSIA submission to DFAT on
the TPP [Strategy 2.4], but work is still ongoing -- we expect to
lodge/publish the OSIA submission in advance of the 18th round of TPP
negotiations (18th round date/venue TBA; the 17th round is happening
next month in Peru).
Any other OSIA members with the skills & availability to do so are
invited to join the TPP Committee in this task (please mail Carl or me
off-list if interested).
Board meetings
--------------
The Board met by teleconference on 5 April and will meet by
teleconference again on 17 May.
As always, members are invited to raise any matters they feel need to be
brought to the Board's attention, either on this list or via any serving
Director.
I look forward to seeing many of you in Adelaide next month.
Regards,
