The audience were surveyors and geospatial practitioners (people who use 
software to draw maps and analyse map related data), along with managers.
Not too many programmers in the audience.
Hence the weighting of the presentation on "should I USE open source or 
not"?

There is already established open source applications and user interest 
in Open Source.
I've been invited to give a similar presentation to another event.
I'll be continuing to promote Open Source in the geospatial sector.

Thanks for the offer of OSIA assistance. I don't see any need for direct 
assistance at the moment, but it adds legitimacy to the Open Source 
story for OSIA to be in existence and to be a channel for negotiating 
with government.

Providing reviews of presentations like this is also valuable. And 
hopefully there are ideas in my presentation that others can adapt for 
your own industry presentations.
